Jackie Joseph “Joe” McMillan

BURLINGTON, Wis. — Jackie Joseph “Joe” McMillan, age 61, of Burlington, Wis. and formerly of Windmill Gap, died on Monday, February 25, 2008 in Wisconsin.

Born on July 16, 1946 in Bluefield, he was a son of the late William Raymond and Byrdie Louise Garland McMillan. He was a classic car buff, enjoyed Harleys, art and Bluegrass music. He was of the Baptist faith and was a truck driver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers: Robert, Gerald, Douglas, James, and Charlie; and two sisters: Billie and Alva Jean.

Survivors include: Wife: Frances P. McMillan of the home; one daughter: Rhonda McMillan-Boger and husband David W. of Hendersonville, Tenn.; one brother: Willard Raymond McMillan and wife Joyce Erline of Oxford, Ala.; four sisters: Virginia Densborn and husband Delyle of Northlake, Ill., Connie McMillan of Tecumsch, Mich., Linda Kiestler of Hernando, Miss., June Dunlap and husband Steven of Union, Miss.; special aunt: Myrtle East and family of Windmill Gap.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday (today), March 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Prosperity United Methodist Church in Windmill Gap with the Rev. Earl Hill officiating. Burial will follow at the East Family Cemetery in Windmill Gap.

Friends called on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell and again one hour prior to services today at the church.
