Nellie Mae Watkins
PRINCETON — Nellie Mae Watkins, 78, of 127 Knapp Ave., Princeton, passed away
on Thursday, Aug. 10, 2006 at her residence.
She was born on May 18, 1928 in McComas, to the late Carlo Cameresi and Minnie
Sparks Cameresi. She was a resident of Princeton for 20 years and a member of
the Eagles and Moose Lodge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard
Eugene Watkins; two daughters: Dalela Morris and Carolina Sue King; four
brothers: Ray Cameresi, Joe Cameresi, Jimmy Cameresi and Louis Cameresi; and two
sisters: Josephine Moses and Pansy Croft.
Survivors include: Two sons: Carl Eugene Watkins of Bluefield and Terry Lee
Watkins of Bluefield; companion: Gale Anderson of Princeton; two brothers:
Angelo Cameresi and wife Carol of Roanoke, Va., Robert Cameresi and wife Macil
of Bluefield; two sisters: Edith Eller and husband Wade of Stafford, Va.,
Eveline Short and husband Harry of Woodbridge, Va.; brother-in-law: John Thomas
Watkins and wife Vivian of Bluewell; sister-in-law: Betty Compton and husband
Jack of Bluefield; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, Aug. 13, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the
Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with the Minister Frank Watkins Jr.
officiating the service. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Memorial Park in
Bluewell.
Friends and family may call at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell on
today, Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Friends and family will be serving as pallbearers.
The Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Watkins family.
