Elsie Irene Conner

NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. — Elsie Irene Conner, 96, of 186 Roma Road, North Tazewell, died on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at her residence. Born on Jan. 15, 1911 in McComas, she was a daughter of the late Noah and Hattie Kingrea Conner. She had been a resident of North Tazewell for three years and was formerly of Stratford, Conn. She was a 1936 graduate of McComas High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. Survivors include: Niece: Margie Stenson, with whom she made her home, of North Tazewell; nephew: Bruce Conner of Stratford; several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday (today), March 9, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with the Rev. Ray Amos officiating. Burial will follow on Saturday at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Friends may call on Friday (today) from 6-8 p.m. at C ravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell is serving the Conner family.
